“Recovery is like doing marathon on a track. You need to keep doing the same work over and over again.” — Greg Miller
Recovery is not an event, but a process. This work includes surrendering to that process and learning to recommit after lapsing into behaviors. In this Recovery Skills Group we will explore principles of recovery, discuss risk factors for relapse, and provide resources to help disrupt the relapse cycle. Join us!
Please RSVP to Travis Stewart at email@example.com
Group Requirements: This Group is Open to the Public and Alumni
1. Must be a person struggling with an eating disorder, this group is not intended for families or support systems of those struggling.
3. Currently working with an outpatient treatment team OR have been in recovery for 2 years and have support of prior outpatient team on a PRN basis.
The Recovery Skills Seminars are an opportunity to help you launch into a life of balance through the development of new recovery and life skills. The groups will be didactic and interactive with a new topic chosen each month.
Recovering from an eating disorder is challenging. Not only are the thoughts and behaviors overwhelming, it is easy to lose a sense of your self and what you want out of life. Castlewood’s Recovery Skills Seminars are designed to provide guidance and life skills to help you pursue recovery and build a life worth living.
Each seminar will help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself while providing practical skills that give you confidence and hope in your life direction.
Seminars are not a replacement for therapy, but are offered as a supplement to the work you are doing with a therapist. If you desire recovery, and are medically stable, you are welcome to attend. There is no cost to attend.
